Jesus in the Qur'an

Muhammad encouraged Muslims to visit the Gospels. So you check out the texts of the Gospels. The Quran says: "We believe in that which has been sent down to us (the Quran), and which also has been sent to you (the Torah and the Gospels)." (Sura 29:46)

In the Quran, Jesus is called the son of Mary, Sura 19:34. The Quran declares that Mary is selected and refined women of all creation above, Sura 3:41. Such a term is not even used in the Qur'an Muhammad's mother Aminasta or his wives and daughters, and none of the other woman. Maria alone gets this honor.
The Gospel of Luke:
1:30 And the angel said unto her, "Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.

The Quran declares that Jesus did not have an earthly father as the other prophets and Muhammad. Muhammad's father's name was Abdullah. Only Jesus, the Qur'an declares that the unique situation of

The Gospel of Luke:

The Quran declares of Jesus born of a virgin. Jesus is the only prophet who has got to be such a sign from God. The virgin birth was necessary in order that Jesus was able to redeem mankind's sins. If Jesus had an earthly father, like other prophets, Jesus would not have been able to redeem mankind. The mere man can not be a savior.

The Quran calls Jesus "the Word of God", Sura 3:44 - 45, Sura 4:171. Other prophets called God, or God's messengers unheard. Only Jesus is called the Word of God. It is one thing to be a messenger of God, who speaks the word of God, as the word of God. The Quran gives this status only to Jesus. Muhammad announced itself to be a guide and a warner, Sura 26:115; 13:7.

The Gospel of John:
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

The Quran calls Jesus "the Messiah", Sura 3:44, 4:171, 9:31, 5:72. Most of the language of the scholars are of the opinion that the Arabic word "al-Masih" can be directly linked with the word "Messiah", which means "the Anointed One". None of the other prophet has not been such a great honor to Jesus.

4:15 The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."
4:16 Jesus said to him, "Go, call your husband and come here."
4:17 The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to him, "You have rightly said, 'I have no husband';

The Quran says that Jesus will be respected in this world and the world after, Sura 3:44.
Phil.2: 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name,
2:10 so that every knee shall bow to the name of Jesus, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
2:11 And that every tongue should confess the glory of God, that Jesus Christ is Lord

 Quranic declaration that Jesus was without sin. Nowhere in the Quran Jesus is not in a situation where he should be asked to forgive sin. Other prophets had to ask for forgiveness for their sins, Sura 3:146, 48:1 - 2 The Qur'an tells us that Jesus was without sin and Satan, protected, Sura 3:35. The Qur'an has many references to the fact that Muhammad asks forgiveness of sin, Sura 40:55.
Isaiah:
53:9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, because he had done no violence and no deceit in his mouth.
The Gospel of John:
7:19 Did not Moses give you the law? And none of you fulfill the law. Why do you seek to kill me? "

Jesus was without sin

The Gospel of Luke:
9:42 And the son of the demon tore him and convulsed greatly. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father.
13:14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, "There are six days in which men ought to work: therefore come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day."
22:51 But Jesus answered and said, "Let not this, too." And he touched his ear and healed him.


The Quran declares that Jesus is coming back to the day of judgment, Sura 4:159.
Matt.25: 31 But when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
17:31 Because he hath appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, and he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. "
20:15 And anyone not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.


The Gospels tell us that the blood of Jesus, every year the death of the cross, is the price paid for our deliverance. It is interesting that the child's blood is never mixed with the blood of the mother's womb. The Gospel of Luke:

The Qur'an in Sura 19:33 - 34 is an interesting text that Jesus expressed as saying: "Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day when I die, and the day when I shall be raised from the dead." Jesus is saying, according to the Qur'an:
1) The peace was upon Him the day He was born
2) The peace was upon Him the day He died
3) The peace was upon Him in the day when He was raised from the dead
The Qur'an is, therefore, Jesus' birth, death and resurrection are listed in one verse.

Surahs of the Qur'an 4:157 sometimes quoted as proof of the fact that Jesus did not die on the cross, "and said:" Surely We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God "- but they were not killed nor crucified him, but so only seemed to them and they that are in dispute, are themselves unaware they have no certain knowledge, but only conjecture, they continued to work. 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished," and bowed his head and gave up the ghost.

People of all faiths in need of Jesus, Christians and Muslims. God prepared the way for him through Jesus, in His mercy and love. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and ask God to help you believe. Also recognize that Jesus is Lord. This is all you need for your salvation

Koraani kutsuu Jeesusta ”Jumalan sanaksi”, Suura 3:44 - 45, Suura 4:171. Muita profeettoja kutsutaan Jumalan äänitorviksi tai Jumalan sanansaattajiksi. Vain Jeesusta kutsutaan Jumalan sanaksi. On eri asia olla Jumalan sanansaattaja, joka puhuu Jumalan sanaa, kuin itse Jumalan sana. Koraani antaa tämän aseman vain Jeesukselle. Muhammed ilmoitti itse olevansa vain opas ja varoittaja, Suura 26:115; 13:7.

Koraani kutsuu Jeesusta ”Messiaaksi”, Suura 3:44; 4:171; 9:31; 5:72. Muut profeetat joutuivat pyytämään syntejään anteeksi, Suura 3:146; 48:1 - 2. Koraani kertoo, että Jeesus on ilman syntiä ja saatanalta suojattu, Suura 3:35. Koraanissa on useita viittauksia siihen, että Muhammed pyytää syntejään anteeksi, Suura 40:55.

Jeesus oli synnitön

Koraanin maininnoista Jeesuksesta ehkä huomionarvoisin on se, että Jeesus on synnitön. Evankeliumin idea on se, että vain synnitön voi tuoda vapauden syntisille ihmisille. Yksi syntinen ei voi kärsiä rangaistusta toisen syntisen puolesta sen enempää kuin varas voisi mennä vankilaan toisen varkaan puolesta. Evankeliumi julistaa, että Jeesus tuli ristinkuolemallaan syntiemme kantajaksi. Koraanin ja Raamatun ilmoitukset Jeesuksen synnittömyydestä tekee Jeesuksen kuoleman syntiemme puolesta merkitykselliseksi.Jumalan täytyi tulla meidän luoksemme syntymällä Jeesuksena. Me emme kykene, emmekä voi saavuttaa Jumalaa omasta aloitteestamme. Syntimme olivat tehneet meidät mahdottomaksi saavuttaa Jumala, sen sijaan Jumalan täytyi saavuttaa meidät. Jeesuksessa näemme Jumalan todellisen olemuksen. Koraanin ilmoituksen mukaan Jeesus teki ihmeitä, Suura 5:110 - 113. Useimmat muslimit ovat sitä mieltä, että Muhammed ei koskaan tehnyt yhtään ihmettä. Koraanissa ei mainita Muhammedin tehneen yhtään ihmettä. Kun Muhammedilta kysyttiin, miksi hän ei tehnyt ihmeitä, hän sanoi ihmisille olevansa vain ”varoittaja ja opas”. Muhammed sanoi itse, ettei hänellä ollut voimaa tehdä ihmeitä, Suura 17:59; 29:49 - 50.

Evankeliumit kertovat, että Jeesuksen veri, joka vuosi ristinkuolemassa, on meidän pelastumisestamme maksettu hinta. On mielenkiintoista, että lapsen veri ei koskaan sekoitu äidin vereen kohdussa. Heillä on kaksi täysin erillistä verenkiertoa, äidin veri ei koskaan kulje lapsen verisuoneen. Jeesuksen veri ei myöskään sekoittunut Marian vereen kohdussa. Jeesukseen syntymään ei liity myöskään sukupuolista suhdetta. Jeesuksella ei ole maallista isää. Pyhä Henki lankesi Marian ylle, niin että Jeesuksen suonissa virtaava veri on taivaallista. Jotta Jeesuksen veri olisi kaikista synneistä puhdistamisen välikappale, sen täytyi olla ainutlaatuisen taivaallista.

Koraani ja Raamattu ilmoittavat Jeesuksen syntyneen neitseestä ja olevan synnitön. Jeesuksen verta eivät olleet saastuttaneet maalliset voimat ja siten Hän on suojattu kaikelta pahalta ja synniltä. Jeesus on ainoa täydellinen. Eikö tämä olekin voimakas osoitus Jeesuksen tehtävästä ja tarkoitusperästä. Ottaakseen maailman synnit kantaakseen Jeesuksen täytyi olla synnitön. Muslimien keskuudessa vallitsee yleinen uskomus, että Jeesus ei kuollut ristillä, vaan Jumala otti Hänet ylös taivaaseen. Jotkut muslimit esittävät, että ristillä oli Juudas ja roomalaiset eivät käsittäneet kenet he ristiinnaulitsivat. On kuitenkin huomioitava, että Jeesuksen kuolema ja ylösnousemus ovat tarkasti dokumentoituja historiallisia tosiasioita. Evankeliumin kirjoittajat eivät olisi voineet lisätä näitä tapahtumia evankeliumeiden teksteihin, jos ne eivät olisi totta. Hengellisesti ajatelleen ristiinnaulitsemista eivät tehneet juutalaiset eivätkä myöskään roomalaiset, vaan Jeesuksen ristiinnaulitsivat maailman synnit. Huomioi myös, että Suurassa 5:17 sanotaan, että Jumala sai aikaan Jeesuksen kuoleman. Tässä jakeessa ei mainita mitään luonnollista syytä kuolemaan, vain se, että Jumala oli Jeesuksen kuoleman takana. Jeesuksen kuolema oli Jumalan suunnitelma lunastaa ihmiset synneistä.

Jeesuksen ajan roomalaiset, kristityt ja juutalaiset olivat yhtä mieltä siitä, että Jeesus Kristus ristiinnaulittiin. Ristiinnaulitseminen on kirjattu maailman historiaan ja myös uskonnon historiaan. 19:14 Ja oli pääsiäisen valmistuspäivä, noin kuudes hetki. Ja hän sanoi juutalaisille: "Katso, teidän kuninkaanne!"

19:17 Ja kantaen itse omaa ristiänsä hän meni ulos niin sanotulle Pääkallonpaikalle, jota kutsutaan hebreankielellä Golgataksi.

19:18 Siellä he hänet ristiinnaulitsivat ja hänen kanssaan kaksi muuta, yhden kummallekin puolelle, ja Jeesuksen keskelle.

19:19 Ja Pilatus kirjoitti myös päällekirjoituksen ja kiinnitti sen ristiin; ja se oli näin kirjoitettu: "Jeesus Nasaretilainen, juutalaisten kuningas."

19:21 Niin juutalaisten ylipapit sanoivat Pilatukselle: "Älä kirjoita: 'Juutalaisten kuningas', vaan että hän on sanonut: 'Minä olen juutalaisten kuningas.'"

19:22 Pilatus vastasi: "Minkä minä kirjoitin, sen minä kirjoitin."

19:23 Kun sotamiehet olivat ristiinnaulinneet Jeesuksen, ottivat he hänen vaatteensa ja jakoivat ne neljään osaan, kullekin sotamiehelle osansa, sekä ihokkaan. Mutta ihokas oli saumaton, kauttaaltaan ylhäältä asti kudottu.

19:24 Sentähden he sanoivat toisillensa: "Älkäämme leikatko sitä rikki, vaan heittäkäämme siitä arpaa, kenen se on oleva"; että tämä kirjoitus kävisi toteen: "He jakoivat keskenänsä minun vaatteeni ja heittivät minun puvustani arpaa." Ja sotamiehet tekivät niin.

19:25 Mutta Jeesuksen ristin ääressä seisoivat hänen äitinsä ja hänen äitinsä sisar ja Maria, Kloopaan vaimo, ja Maria Magdaleena.

19:26 Kun Jeesus näki äitinsä ja sen opetuslapsen, jota hän rakasti, seisovan siinä vieressä, sanoi hän äidillensä: "Vaimo, katso, poikasi!"

19:27 Sitten hän sanoi opetuslapselle: "Katso, äitisi!" Ja siitä hetkestä opetuslapsi otti hänet kotiinsa.

19:30 Kun nyt Jeesus oli ottanut hapanviinin, sanoi hän: "Se on täytetty", ja kallisti päänsä ja antoi henkensä.

19:32 Niin sotamiehet tulivat ja rikkoivat sääriluut ensin toiselta ja sitten toiselta hänen kanssaan ristiinnaulitulta.

19:33 Mutta kun he tulivat Jeesuksen luo ja näkivät hänet jo kuolleeksi, eivät he rikkoneet hänen luitaan,

19:34 vaan yksi sotamiehistä puhkaisi keihäällä hänen kylkensä, ja heti vuoti siitä verta ja vettä.

19:35 Ja joka sen näki, on sen todistanut, ja hänen todistuksensa on tosi, ja hän tietää totta puhuvansa, että tekin uskoisitte.
